Uncle D found this well-known restaurant ( more like a coffee shop ) at Jalan Kapar, Klang. After some wrong turns, we finally arrived at Boston Baru Restoran(New Boston restaurant). We reach about 6pm and there are many queueing for the tables. The wait was about 1 hour plus before our dishes were served. Our bill came to RM 178 for 7 pax, reasonably cheap considering the amount of seafood we have consumed. We recommends:

Hokkien Mee福建青

Locals like this so much as the mee because its big fat and juicy. Kimmarun boy who does not fancy hokkien mee also finish his plate without a single mee left.

Steamed "Lala" ζΈ…θ’Έ"啦啦"

This steamed lala with lots of soup is so yummy that we all finished the soup as well as the la-la. The cook has added some chinese siew heng wine, ginger and chili padi making the soup taste spicy. Once you start sipping, you'd keep wanting for more.

Nestum Mantis Prawn

This is 'Nestum' mantis prawn. The mantis prawns cooked with corn flakes. I love this one!

Other So So Dishes

Seafood Claypot was served with a slightly spicy gravy. However, there was only a little fish slices and prawns. Our vote still goes to the Seafood claypot in Dengkil

Butter Sotong
We find it amusing that the sotong was not deep fried. The butter was very fragrant. However, this dish was not impressive because the sotong lack the butter taste as the gravy did not stick to the sotong.

Lammeeya, Paradigm Mall

A restaurant serving tasty Lam Mee and other type of noodles. We ordered their specialty Lam Mee to share. The taste is reasonable so so. The mee is soft and the ingredients are pretty standard. The gravy is tasty but not salty enough for me.

Both my good friends ordered the the salty mince pork. Wow the aroma of the pork was really tempting. It was seriously delicious( from the looks of W n SY salvaging) every bits and pieces of the pork.

Onn Kei Tauge Ayam

ServiceπŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

Onn Kee is Lou Wong’s utmost rival, situated right across the street. We think its a superior choice compared to Lou Wong.

The bean sprouts at Onn Kee is REALLY great stuff. Crunchy, juicy and fat, the tauge (in Malay) is lightly blanched, then tossed lightly with a dash of soy sauce, and some sesame oil for that extra, inviting aroma. The garnishing of chopped scallions and red chillies lend some colours to the pale-as-snow plateful of fibres, guaranteed to have you craving for more.

The Ipoh’s classic ‘Sar Hor Fun’ (flat rice noodles) can be served dry (tossed with soy sauce and dark soy sauce) or in soup (the more popular version, in a sweet-tasting broth flavoured with chicken bones, parts, and a dash of pepper).

Our bill came up to RM31.

Satay

The best satay in Kajang is not Sate Samuri . Sate Samuri used to be good but not anymore because they  industrial produce and place them in an air tight container.  The satay in this restaurant is so moist and tender unlike the ones grilled by sate Samuri. The owner will only start  grilling  the satay when it is ordered and he never uses an electric  fan to control  the flame. He would use his old trusted kipas nipah as he gently takes care of  the heat. Its probably the best satay is the world. Even when describing this, my mouth is salivating thinking of the satay especially sate daging. Believe me you will never forget the experience of tasting the satay.

Water and Lights Dance in symphony KLCC

KUALA Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) has a new attraction in the form of a light and music fountain. About RM10 million was poured into transforming the fountain at the esplanade into the KLCC Lake Symphony, whose virtuosic performances of lights and water  "dancing" to music fire the imagination and illuminate the night. The Lake Symphony makes a brilliant backdrop for the five-day Kuala Lumpur International Music and Light Festival that will be held at KLCC, beginning Monday. The festival, recently launched at the esplanade, is held in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the World Gas Conference. The festival is organised by Memories Entertainment and the Gas Conference's National Organising Committee. The Lake Symphony will play a key role in the festival, with free light and water shows scheduled at 8pm daily throughout the event.

Flowers Nail Art

Nail art is a creative activity that draws pictures or designs fingernails. It a type of art. These days fingernails and toenails are seen by some as important points of beauty.
Also, it is a type of fashion activity, related to manicuring. There are commercial shops ('nail bars') where nails are worked on to make them attractive. The main product is acrylic nails with ready-made designs which can be stuck on top of natural nails.
This page shows a few of my DIY attempt :)

“I feel like having roast duck today,” kajang gal said when we were deciding on what to eat for lunch one Sunday.

My favourite roast duck place in KL was a restaurant called De’Champion Duck in Kepong. The restaurant is located at the Medan Putra Business Centre in Bandar Menjalara. As we stepped into the shop, we were greeted by the sight of whole ducks and char siew strips hanging from the glass display.

DCHAMPION DUCK

We order half a duck (RM24). From one look at the glistening skin and juices flowing from the duck, I knew it was going to be a good meal. And boy I was right!

The duck had just the right amount of fat and the skin was well-seasoned and perfectly crisped. Beneath the crackly skin, the meat was tender and flavourful. Even the edges were moist. Really good stuff, and we immediately regretted not ordering a whole duck (Yes, we love roast duck!).It tasted even better with the accompanying duck sauce and chilli sauce. Speaking of duck sauce, Champion Duck’s version had a herbal taste and was of the right consistency (not too thick, not too diluted). The chilli sauce was garlicky with a pleasant tanginess.
The char siew strips looked so enticing, we couldn’t resist ordering a plate to try.

If you ask me, I’d say a good char siew should be thickly cut with a generous layer of fat to give it a tender bite. The char siew should also be in a melt-in-your-mouth state, with a nicely charred and caramelised coat. I prefer my char siew to have a good hint of smokiness on the outside.De’ Champion Duck’s char siew met all the criterias in a good char siew. Priced at RM13 for a small portion, its melt-in-your-mouth texture was oh-so-moreish with a sweet BBQ aftertaste. Bits of the sweet and sticky caramelised layer stuck to my teeth, but trust me — it’s totally worth it! Half lean and half fat with beautifully charred bits, this was definitely one of the better char siews I’ve had!

The accompanying rice (RM1.20 per plate) was fluffy, aromatic and lightly flavoured by the stock. To top off our gluttony, we had cucumber Asam(RM1.50) each — very refreshing and of just the right sweetness. Our satisfying lunch came up to about RM40. Pretty decent considering the amount we ordered, and I’m definitely going back for more!

Verdict: One of the best roast ducks in town. The char siew is equally as good!
